In this ultra-inclusive series, author Stephanie Wolfe, with the help of her daughter, Addie, aims to help parents open the door to conversations with their children about disabilities. Addie is a seven-year-old girl living in Texas, who loves all things pink. After having spent the first ten months of her life in the NICU, she undeniably lives a life without limits. Addie makes the most out of her life’s opportunities by working hard to take on new challenges every day. In her free time, Addie participates in Girl Scouts, plays soccer, cheers, and loves to travel and experience new places with her family. In fact, she recently visited the beach for the very first time and loved the feeling of the water on her toes! Addie also loves learning new things in school, watching Disney movies with her mom, hugs from her little brother, and feeling her puppies’ soft fur.
Stephanie Wolfe is a semi-crunchy, compassionate Texas lifestyle blogger, wife and mother to her disabled daughter and toddler son. She focuses her everyday on sharing her family’s life with others in an attempt to normalize conversations about disabilities and assure readers of the limitless possibilities and positive potential in life, regardless of circumstances. She truly believes there is good to be found in every situation! Her daughter, Addie, is a constant source of her inspiration and the main character of the Authentically Addie series. Stephanie and her family have been featured in Parents magazine and are a favorite at her local news station, which regularly features important moments in Addie’s incredible journey.

“Every child (and adult) wants to feel like they have a place, are loved, and positively recognized for who they are. What is so beautiful about Addie’s story in Authentically Addie is that we can learn to appreciate the things that make each creature unique while also breaking down the stigmas. Instead of feeling isolated, Authentically Addie is a story of inclusion, appreciation, and celebration.” -Dory Doyle, Author
“Authentically Addie is a beautifully illustrated, whimsical story that represents people who’ve historically been underrepresented in literature.” -Katie Crenshaw, #1 Bestselling Children’s Book Author
